This study of renewable energy in Russia lays out the vast resource potential, and identifies key markets in which renewables are arguably "competitive". It further identifies a number of discrete and significant benefits to establishing a viable market for renewables in Russia. Finally, the study identifies the challenges to creating a viable market, and offers some suggestions for first steps that might be taken to begin a market-opening strategy. These first steps are focused on low-cost, high value markets.
